Latest from Falling Rock Tap House

From Chris:

Howdy Folks, Some reminders & a couple of new items :

Friday February 20th, 5pm SKA Brewing Company Modus Hoperandi Front Range Debut Party. SKA is kicking off their new IPA (7%abv, 70 IBU's) here @ the Falling Rock. The even better news is that they're also canning this Beer so we now have even more choice here in Colorado on what we take to those places where glass is an inappropriate choice for containers like hiking to Conundrum Hot Springs, who wants to lug all that weight of the glass bottles up to 12k ft? ( I usually stashed the bottles in Cheryl's backpack without letting her know, she's the super athletic one)

NEW: Sunday February 22nd Russian River Pliney the YOUNGER on Tap @ the Church of the Falling Rock. 2pm. I've been getting a couple dozen calls a day for this one ever since the email went out from the brewery, some of you don't read very well. The email said that the beer would be on tap at the brewery on February 2nd, the truck just arrived the other day @ we're getting the kegs in so we can pour it on Sunday. For those of you not familiar with Pliney the Younger, forget I even mentioned it, you probably wouldn't like a 10.5% abv triple IPA.......

Monday, February 23rd, 5pm Avery Maharaja Release. They're delivering the first kegs of Maharaja on Monday so lets tap those suckers! I talked Avery into a little larger allocation this year, we always seem to run out no matter how many we buy.

NEW: Thursday February 26th 5pm. Russian River Consecration on tap @ 5pm. Consecration is a dark brown sour ale, 10.5% abv aged for 6 mos in used Cabernet Barrels with Currants added. We received 2 5-gallon kegs for the GABF last year, they were gone in less than 20 minutes, it should last a little longer this time, but don't count on it being around for long. If you are into the sour beers do NOT miss this one. There are a limited number of bottles released into the market, check you favorite liquor stores where you've seen Russian River Beers before.

Monday, March 3rd, 5pm. Boulevard Brewing Company Colorado Release Party.

Saturday, March 14th 8am-? St. Patrick's Day Parade on Blake Street

Thursday, March 19th, 6 PM. The Society for the Pursuit of Hoppiness March Meeting: Style and Flavor Conversation with Charlie Papazian.

See you a bunch in the next few days,

Chris
