Pliny the Younger Tapping / Sandlot Tour

02/26/2010 5:00 pm

On Friday, February 26th we'll have two great events, one great evening!

First on the plate is the tapping of Pliny the Younger at Falling Rock. What is Pliny the Younger you may ask, well, I'll tell you. It's Pliny the Elder, younger. Which means, if you can imagine this, MORE HOPS than the Elder. If you're a hop head, this is not to be missed. The Younger (second keg) is being tapped at 5:00 p.m. on the 26th. Fair warning, it will likely be crowded. I'll try to get there early to secure a Hopper table. So, Hoppers unite in the pursuit of delicious hop wonder and come down to Falling Rock to try some Younger!

For the second leg of our tour, Tom from Sandlot has invited us back to the brewery. For those of you who missed the first tour, the Sandlot rocks. We got to drink beer right off the serving tanks from pig tails. One word...AWESOME. Tom is an extremely gracious brewer and very knowledgable. He specializes in those ever so hard to brew lager beers, and they are delicious. Start time for the Sandlot portion of the evening will be ~7:00 p.m. We're starting later to hopefully facilitate better attendance at a downtown event for those who have to work.

For those able to meet at Falling Rock, the Sandlot is an easy walk down the street. I would highly encourage taking the light rail to Union Station and arranging a DD to pick you up from the light rail on your way home.
