Eligible categories are: 6, 7, 8, 9 (a,b,c,d), 10, 11, 12 (a,b), 13 (a,b,c), 14 (a,b), 15 (a,b,d), 20, 21, 22, 23. All subcategories for each major category are eligible, unless specified above. Additional information (i.e. base style and specialty) about entries in categories 20, 21, 22, and 23 must be provided as described in the 2008 BJCP Style Guidelines. Furthermore, in keeping with the session ale theme, entries in categories 20, 21, 22, and 23 should be brewed with ale yeast (no lagers, bacteria or wild yeast) and the OG should not exceed 1.060. Only beers are allowed, no meads or ciders. Ideally, a single infusion mash should be used.
- Someone who is already associated with a brewery for the 2009 GABF Pro/Am Competition is not eligible to win the overall competition. Entries are still welcome and will be judged, but the Pro-Am rules only allow one Pro-Am entry per homebrewer.
- Fee: $5.00 per entry. Make checks payable to Left Hand Brewing. There are no limits on the number of entries.

Green bottles, Grolsch-style swing top bottles, or bottles with raised lettering are allowed, but discouraged. Bombers (22oz or 750ml) are acceptable but 3 bottles must be submitted. Bottles that are so unique as to make identity of the entrant a possibility may be subject to disqualification should not be submitted.
- Each bottle must have a completely filled out bottle ID form RUBBER BANDED to the bottle. Taped or glued labels could disqualify the entry. Caps should be plain; any markings should be blacked out with a permanent marker. Entry and bottle ID forms can be found at www.indianpeaksalers.org
- A completely filled out Competition entry form / recipe sheet must be rubber banded to one of the bottles. Any entry without a recipe is subject to disqualification. The category and sub-category of the entry must be identified or the entry will not be judged. Organizers will not classify or reclassify your entries
- All entries and recipes submitted become property of Left Hand Brewing. No part of an entry will be returned, including bottles. Left Hand Brewing retains the flexibility to change the winning recipe as necessary to accommodate their brewing equipment.
