There are some major changes in store for the Dredhop Homebrew Competition this year\, including a return to Boulder! We hope you'll join us on Feb 25th\, 2012.
This AHA/BJCP sanctioned event is open to all BJCP styles of beer\, mead\, and cider\, and entries will be capped at 400. Entrants\, judges and stewards are welcome to attend the post-competition reception\, where winners will get ribbons and some great prizes.
Upslope Brewing will select and brew their 2012 Great American Beer Festival Professional/Amateur Competition entry from the Best of Show round beer entries\, giving a winning homebrewer the chance to collaborate with and brew at one of Boulder's pro breweries and have their beer served at the Upslope Taproom and the Sundown Saloon. Dredhop is also a Master Championship of Amateur Brewing XV 2012 qualifying event.

which is a BJCP/AHA sanctioned competition and qualifier for the GABF Pro-Am competition.

Entries will be accepted for all of the 2008 BJCP beer categories (however\, no meads or ciders). \; Categories may be consolidated into manageable flights to facilitate judging. \; Medals will be awarded for 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place for each flight. \; 1st place winners will advance to a Best-of-Show round where the overall competition winner will be selected. \; \; After the BOS has been determined\, the participating brewers will select winning beers for entry into the 2012 GABF ProAm competition. \;

The competition judging will take place on Saturday\, March 31\, 2012. There will be an awards ceremony following the judging session.
