End: 04/11/2009 11:00 pm

After two days worth of hard work with Greg (read, Greg did most of the work), our new tiered system is just about ready to rock and roll. A few coats of high heat paint and installation of a pump is all that is left to do. Attached are two photos to check out.

Drum roll......so, please mark your calendars for the first brew on the new system and our 4th wedding anniversary party (as the system was our gift to each other). On April 11th (anniversary is April 9th so we'll be celebrating it at the RHBC meeting) we'll be brewing an American Barleywine affectionately titled "Till Death Do We Brew."

Please stop by any time during the day to check out the new system. We will have snacks available and we will be breaking into the aging fridge and have several special commercial beers to share during the day as well. As always, children and significant others are welcome.

We'll plan the extra special tasting for 1:00 p.m.

Liquid Poetry Contest

In conjunction with the Liquid Poetry Party taking place here at Wynkoop Brewing Co. on April 18th at 7pm (in the Mercantile Room); we're putting out a call for lyrics celebrating beer, beer culture, and beer-blessed fellowship and inspiration.

Here's how to enter and what you might win:

1) Submit a poem of any style and length. Yes, it's that simple.

2) Deadline: April 11th. Entries must have author's name, address, email, and phone number.

3) Email entries to poetry@wynkoop.com.

4) Winners will be announced at the Liquid Poetry Party and will be invited to read their poem to the audience. You must be present to receive glorious applause and win one of several fabulous prizes courtesy of the Wynkoop and our family of restaurants in Denver.
