A Decade of Hog Heaven: 1998 to 2008
A very special evening at the Avery Tap Room featuring a multi-year vertical tasting of our Hog Heaven Barleywine Style Ale presented by Adam Avery and other Avery Staff.
We're always looking for an excuse to throw a good party here at Avery Brewing Company, so when we realized that it's been 10 years since our first batch of Hog Heaven Barleywine back in 1998, we jumped on the opportunity. To tell you the truth, we've been so busy brewing beer that we almost forgot the big anniversary. After tossing around ideas of a giant pig roast (too cold outside and besides, we're still full of pig from the August Anniversary party!) we've decided that the best way to pay homage to our favorite hop-bomb is to break into the cellar and see how it has aged over the years.
The event will be catered with light food and appetizers, including fine cheeses and meats to compliment the beers served. Adam Avery and other Avery staff members will be on hand to present the beers. The format for the evening will resemble other beer dinners that we have done in the past. All twelve taps will be pouring additional specialty Avery brews throughout the evening! Show up at 7:30 to taste some interesting new stuff and stay for the vertical.
Our monthly cheese and beer pairing is on the 25th from 5-8 pm and costs $10 for five pairings. Please RSVP for pairings at info@greatdivide.com. For more info on beer and food pairings for the Holidays visit SEASONALBeerandFood.org

CHEER LIKE IT’S 1933!
Thursday, December 4th
This week marks the 75th Anniversary of the Repeal of Prohibition and we couldn’t be happier!
In 1933, after too many days and weeks of empty pints (4708 days too many), there was finally an end to the drought and we were again OK to join our friends, raise a glass, and cheer a historic day in our history!.
Join us this Thursday, December 4 at 6pm for a celebratory toast. If you stop by and get your Mug Club card swiped, we will add $7.50 in Club Cash (you know, for the 75th Anniversary) to your card that you can use at any time December 5 thru 14. It’s our way to thank you for your support.
Here’s to another 75 years of good times and great beer!

Hey all, yep, it's that time again! Time for the winter beer fest at the Smith household in Castle Rock. It'll be Dec 13th, a sat, at 7pm. For those of you not familiar with these, here's the details.
Everyone brings 2 six-packs (though from you all, I expect equivalent amt of homebrew) For non-brewers I ask for fall / winter brews (though not everyone gets this) for you all, whatever you got going is fine. Food, tasting cups, and of course a cake from the resident cake decorator!
For all of us that didn't make it to the GABF, or who just want another shot at a similar event this is it! We have plenty of room for anyone that can't drive after the festivities, and it should be a good time! please RSVP as soon as you can to firefighter083@comcast.net or 720-229-0334 so we can be sure to have enough of everything. If things go well, i'll have a vanilla porter, a pomegranate wheat and a hard apple cider on tap!
Hope to see you here!
